It was an absolute honor to work alongside the incredible OpenSearch team to help make OpenSearchCon North America 2025 happen. From September 8–10, 2025, the Signia by Hilton San Jose, became the global epicenter for open-source search, analytics, and everything powered by OpenSearch.
The energy was electric from the very first keynote. Leaders from AWS, community maintainers, and end-users took the stage to share how OpenSearch is scaling to power AI-driven search experiences, real-time observability at petabyte scale, and security analytics that actually keep up with today’s threats. The room was packed, the chats were buzzing, and you could feel the momentum building with every talk.
The hands-on workshops were pure gold. Attendees rolled up their sleeves and built vector search pipelines, tuned anomaly detection models, and hardened clusters with the latest security features, all guided by the engineers who wrote the code. Walking through those rooms and seeing “aha!” moments happen in real time was one of the highlights of the entire event.
And of course, the hallway conversations, lightning talks, and evening meetups reminded everyone why open source still matters. New contributors made their first commits during the conference. Long-time rivals swapped war stories over tacos. Ideas that started as casual chats are already turning into pull requests.
To everyone who spoke, attended, sponsored, or volunteered, thank you. You’re the reason OpenSearch keeps getting better, faster, and more capable every single release.
Missed the conference? The session recordings are available on the official OpenSearch YouTube, and the conversations are still going strong in the forums and Slack.
See you next year. The search never stops. #OpenSearchCon #OpenSearch #WeAreOpenSearch
